Hey all,

Anyone have or experience the all new Western Digital Black2 dual drive(120GB ssd + 1TB hdd)? This sound crazy and I can't figure how can they manage to run 2 drive to a single sata port. If it was a SAS drive it will be a different story. Anyways, to my understanding, if this dual drive is accessing through a single sata 3 port, it have to have controller builtin to swtich between drive. So is that mean seek time will take a toll and have to wait till the other drive done reading or writing before the otber dr8ve can be access?

Well this is an interesting and pricey option to say the least. Obviously it is intended for laptops and for that it is a cool concept but it's pointless in a desktop that's for certain.

I'd read here to get some ideas on this drive: http://www.thessdrev...drive-review/8/
